Miami, Florida-based Sedano’s Supermarkets, an independent Hispanic grocer, will give its most loyal customers the chance to win free groceries throughout December.
Following another pandemic year, the grocer will be doing grocery giveaways to help with local customers’ holiday expenses.
Intending to thank loyal customers while introducing their latest online ordering platform, which offers same-day home delivery and curbside pickup, the supermarket will be filling their customers’ carrito (grocery cart) this season. The supermarket is aiming to find five families to give away $500 worth of free groceries the week of Dec. 6 via Sedano’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
“We recognize the last 20 months have been a tough time for everyone, so for this year’s giveaway activations, we want to impact our customers’ finances directly,” said Javier Herrán, chief marketing officer at Sedano’s Supermarkets. “Miami already knows our tradition of giving back to the community during the holidays, and we hope these initiatives spread even more holiday cheer around town.”
Sedano’s is also running a series of activations for its customers. Through Dec. 12, customers can visit SedanosSanta.com to register for a chance to win a Sedano’s gift card or a virtual visit with Santa. Additionally, on Dec. 9, customers who shop for their groceries at Sedano’s will have a chance to have their total costs covered by the company at the checkout line.
Aside from these initiatives, Sedano’s recently held two Thanksgiving giveaways, including hosting a drive-through event in partnership with the city of Hialeah that provided turkeys and pies to 500 families in need, and another event exclusive to Orlando, where the supermarket gave away 150 frozen turkeys.
